Title: My Heart Belongs in Glenwood Springs, Colorado: Millie’s Resolve
Author: Rebecca Jepson

Genre: Historical Fiction, Christian, Romance
This latest instalment in the My Heart Belong Series follows the life of Millie Cooper, a fisherman’s daughter turned nurse/ midwife under the supervision of Dr.Murphy in the quaint town of Glenwood Springs in Colorado. She feels like she finally has her life together until John Drexel, from her past, shows up requiring nursing services for his mother and his pregnant sister-in-law. Millie has to decide whether to be led by her heart or by her profession since she was forced to disengage from an entanglement with the wealthy Drexel family when she fled Nantucket six years ago.
Similar to other books in this series, I was delighted to find a charming love story in the midst of the class struggles among the characters. Readers will sympathise with Millie’s situation because no one would wish this kind of a predicament on their worst enemy.
Jepson’s gentle tone which will keep readers engaged and possibly finish this book with a seating or two. This book does have heavy Christian undertones but the author does a fine job of addressing the characters’ unique situation by portraying them as flawed humans willing to make amends without sacrificing them on the altar of cheesiness.
If you are heading to the beach or for vacation, this along with the other books that I have reviewed in this series would be a great beach read or for those cosy rest days away from the cares of the world. Millie’s Resolve would also be a great palate cleanser for anyone who is in-between “heavy reads”.
