As some of you might know from my Instagram announcement last week, I will be doing 30-day blogging challenge during the month of April 2018.
I am a big fan of 30-day challenges and been keenly watching a number of creatives over the last couple of months as they go through their ups and downs in trying to find inspiration and motivation. While others are just seeking to exercise their creative muscles.
I may have mentioned in an earlier post that lately I have been inspired by poet Dottie James’ ongoing personal challenge of trying to change her own life over the next year or so. Following in her footsteps, I recruited one of my best friends to help me stay accountable for making simple but important steps in order to improve the quality of my life.
Relatedly, I have been thinking a lot about the future of this blog and felt that I have not been giving it my 100 percent. So I decided to take the bold step and commit to posting every day for the month of April 2018, You will be seeing a bit more varied content on Kerry’s blog except on weekends, so that I can rest and also give me time to plan for the week ahead as well as life.
My main goals for this particular challenge:
⦁ To discipline me into having a writing routine regardless of the circumstances.
⦁ To level up my blogging game
⦁ To stretch my creativity through coming with different bookish topics and post titles apart from book reviews
⦁ To encourage more community engagement in this space.
So I challenge you my blog readers, to also keep me accountable and you can follow my journey with the hashtag #AprilBloPo2018. I will welcome suggestions for blogging prompts. Bookish ones are particularly welcome. I would like to reiterate that I am not aiming for perfection. I want to show up every single day and do the work.
